Work, work, work. These sponsors never
seem to give us kids a break! On Friday, May 1st, Student Council
Sponsor Trish Hinrichs and FBLA Sponsor Dana Epley put all of their
members to work picking up trash along Roseland Avenue and Highway
74.
These groups team up twice a year to help the environment in the
semi-annual trash pick-up. FBLA member Chantel Pittz said, “It felt
good helping out the environment in anyway we can.”
After the trash pick-up, all students and
staff in the school were rewarded with brownie sundaes with all of
the toppings: whipped cream, sprinkles, caramel & hot
fudge…courtesy of our FBLA Chapter. The chapter then held a small
awards ceremony recognizing all of the hard work and dedication the
members put in to make FBLA a better organization, giving out
awards based on points and special recognition received at the
State Leadership Conference in April.
The trash pick up concludes the chapter’s
activities for the year, and next year’s office team will be ready
to start up fundraisers and events, as well as the studying, in
August 2009 under the leadership of:
• President- Ronny Sorensen
• Vice President – Kayla Timm
• Secretary – Jennifer Mahoney
• Treasurer – Nate Kosse
• Parliamentarian – Kevin Hall
• Historian – Cami Bruckman
• Reporter – Bailey Morris
