Junior High Quiz Bowl Attends TVC
Beat the Bulldogs; Lose to Bobcats and Blue Devils

The Silver Lake Junior High Academic Quiz Bowl Team attended and competed in the Twin Valley Conference Quiz Bowl meet in Red Cloud on Thursday, November 19th 2009. Silver Lake members include: Kaitlin Schneider, Tori Kissell, Matt Wengler, Anthony Struck, Josie Parr, Rylee Morris, Chloe Hartman, and Seyler Monroe.
The Mustangs defeated the Shelton Bulldogs 45 – 10 but suffered defeats at the hand of Blue Hill and Kenesaw. Captain, Kaitlin Schneider, answeed five toss up questions to lead the way for the Silver Lake quiz bowl team. Team members Josie Parr, Tori Kissell, and Seyler Monroe answered three, two and one questions respectively to contribute to the team.
Kaitlin Schneider stated that the day was, “It was a fun day and we learned a lot as a team.” The Mustang team represented our school well and all agreed that they learned many interesting facts during the competition. Silver Lake will compete again later this year at the ESU 9 Quiz Bowl and plan to host a Silver Lake Triangular.
