American Education Week was celebrated by our Silver Lake elementary students. Each day of the week, students were found doing special activities to show their pride for their school and education. The activities were as follows:
Monday-“Hats Off to Education”-wore our favorite hat
Tuesday-“Color Your World in Education”-each class wore a different color
Wednesday-“Kick Up Your Heels for Education”-wore fun/crazy socks
Thursday-“Striving for a Higher Education”-wore our favorite colleges apparel
Friday-“We Take Pride in our School”-Wore Silver Lake apparel
The kindergarten through second grade students drew pictures featured here while the third through sixth grade students wrote paragraphs to show their pride, or tell about what they like about going to school at Silver Lake. Enjoy looking at the pictures and reading the paragraphs below from the students!
