SL Drama Acts Up At Districts - In a Good Way!-
Not So Grimm Tales Nabs 6th Place Finish

Anxiousness and anxiety were high
in the air on Monday, November 30th, 2009, as the Silver Lake drama
cast traveled down to Red Cloud for district competition. With nine
competitors, the cast had to put on their best performance and
entice the judges for one last time.
The crew came out with excitement and
tried their best to impress. The whole play went smooth, and the
cast felt they had put on their most superb performance on the
year. The judges came in after the play for critiques and gave the
team praise for their well-done performance. But when the results
came in after all the performances were said and done, the "Not So
Grimm Tales" cast landed a 6th place overall. The judges gave
awards to several of our Silver Lake actors awarding Andy Jones as
Meera, Chloe Gibson as Cinderella, and Shelby Rupprecht as the evil
stepmother outstanding actor awards.
Mrs. Overturf, one-act play director, was
more than satisfied with the overall performance at districts.
“Congratulations to the cast of "Not-So-Grimm Tales" for a great
performance at Districts! On my score sheet, they were number
one!”
