Mustangs Remain Undefeated
Silver Lake Defeats Franklin to Continue 12-Game Winning Streak

Postponed until January 21st, the Conference match up between the Franklin Flyers and Silver Lake Mustangs was all but a surprise. The undefeated Mustangs downed the Flyers on the road by a score of 55-37, adding another loss to the Flyers' 5-7 record.
Senior Shelby Rupprecht led the Mustangs with 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. Cami Bruckman racked up 13 points for the team and brought down another 7 rebounds, while junior Bailey Morris added 11 points. Senior Jenna Grabill finished the game with 5 assists to lead the Mustangs.
Heading into halftime with a comfortable 10-point lead, the Mustangs were more than ready for another 16 minutes of basketball. They came out and outscored the Flyers 24-16 in the second half, increasing their lead to 55-37, and their record to 12-0!
Scheduled to play another tough Conference game against the Red Cloud Warriors the following day, the Mustangs headed home to rest their legs and celebrate another win.
Twin Valley Conference play will begin on Saturday, January 30th with the bunny bracket game. The Silver Lake Mustangs, seeded No. 1 in the tournament, will face the winner of the Red Cloud and Bruning-Davenport game which is scheduled to be held on Monday, February 1st.
