On Tuesday, February 9, 2010, the Lady Mustangs took on the Shelton Bulldogs at home for one of their last regular season games. The game was the third time the two teams had met this season. The game started out shaky, but the Mustangs battled to the end. Senior Cami Bruckman led the team with twelve points. Junior Bailey Morris helped the team out with six assists, seven rebounds, and eight points. Senior Chloe Gibson contributed with nine rebounds and ten points. Senior Shelby Rupprecht had 10 points and 6 rebounds on the night.
Senior Kayla Timm stated that, “They played tough defense, but in the end, we played better and came through as a team to end our regular season undefeated.”
The Lady Mustangs battled to win by the final score of 48 to 20, meaning that the Mustangs had continued their undefeated record, and were now 19-0. Good luck to our Lady Mustangs on their last home game against the Giltner Hornets on Thursday, February 11, 2010. If the team wins this game, they will be the only team in Silver Lake history to go undefeated in the regular season of basketball!
