High School Speech Meet Held at Sutton

A Tough Break for the Mustangs

    The Mustang Speech Team traveled to Sutton on Saturday, February 20th with their speech team coach, Mr. Ken Sovereign. With a long day ahead and an early wake in the morning, the Mustangs gave it their best at the competition.

    Those competing were: Andy Jones and Nikki Blumenthal, entertainment speaking; Jenna Thayer, persuasive; and Cat Perez and Keenan Danahey, extemporaneous.

    This meet was a tough one for the team with no one placing or making it to finals, but experience was gained to prepare for their next meet:  Conference Speech Meet on February 26th at Sutton.  Good luck, Mustang Speech Team!
