Lady Mustangs - District Champs and Still Undefeated!

The Silver Lake Lady Mustangs did it again - District Champs and headed to the State Tournament in Lincoln! The team easily defeated Osceola 62-27 in the District Finals to earn the top seed to the Girls State Basketball Tournament.
The team has scored a total of 1,054 points on the year, are 23-0 on the season, and are scoring an average of 45.826 points per game heading into the State Tournament. The tournament begins on Thursday, March 4th and continues through Saturday, March 6th.
Going in to the State Tournament as the #1 seed, the Mustangs will be taking on #8 Brady at 2 PM at Lincoln North Star on Thursday, March 4th, 2010. If the team wins the first-round game, the will play again at 10:45 AM at Pershing on Friday, March 5th, 2010. If they win their second-round game, they will play in the D-1 State Championship at the Devaney Sports Center at 9 AM on Saturday, March 6th. If they win their first-round game on Thursday, but lose their second-round game on Friday, they will play in the consolation game on Saturday, March 6th at 12 PM at Lincoln High.
A pep rally for the team will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, March 3rd at the high school in Roseland. Fan ware for the game is being sold by Washington 2010, and can be purchased from either kbonifas@esu9.org or depley@esu9.org, or by calling the school at (402) 756-6611.
