Mustangs Lose Hard Fought Battle Against Elkhorn Valley
Tough Loss in State Tournament Semi-Final Game

The Silver Lake Lady Mustang basketball team gave it their all on Friday, March 5th, 2010, against the Falcons of Elkhorn Valley, but the formidable size of the Elkhorn Valley team proved too much for the smaller and faster Lady Mustangs to overcome.
The Mustangs battled to keep the game within reach for four strenuous quarters of play, but Elkhorn Valley emerged the victor by a score of 62-51.
The loss marks the first of the season for Silver Lake, and the Mustangs will now take on Humphrey in the Class D-1 consolation game on Saturday, March 6th, 2010, at noon at Lincoln High.
