School Pride: It's Contagious

A picture is worth a thousand words, right? All of us as a district want to see our Silver Lake students take pride in themselves as well as in their school -- and the administrators couldn't have modeled this any better than at this week's conference games.
No, our teams may not have continued on in the tournament as we had all hoped they would, but our students promoted school pride within our student body and our fans have been there to support us every step of the way. The strong leadership shown on and off of the field by our student athletes is continuing in the right direction - and for that, we are proud!
The idea behind a support system in our district is not only for students participating in the extra-curriculars, but academically as well. Silver Lake has some amazing supporters, and we want to say thank you for your organization and your support of our students, as well as of our programs, such as our journalism program, where many of you have stepped up to take pictures and share them with our class. So again, thank you for supporting school pride, and GO MUSTANGS!
