Confrence Band Held in Red Cloud

On, Monday, March 19th, the Silver Lake band students and their instructor Janice Dart hit the road to Red Cloud to participate in the annual Twin Valley Conference Band Clinic in Red Cloud. The group left school around 11:45 AM after eating lunch and before practicing for hours on end both individually and with other schools in the conference.
The public performance began at 7 PM, and the group performed one song as the Silver Lake band, as did other individual schools, while all schools performed a few together.
Sophomore band student Nadine Lovejoy stated, “It was a fun thing to do and the clinician was always making us laugh.” The next band performance will be the spring concert and the date for this is yet to be determined.
