Silver Lake Elementary Quiz Bowl Competes in First Meet of the Year

The Silver Lake Elementary Quiz Bowl Team hosted a match with Blue Hill and Kenesaw on Wednesday, October 28th at Bladen. The team consisting of Corey Conway, Miranda Erickson, Skyler Ericsson, Randa Klein, Levi Plambeck, Brendan Reed, Syd Skupa and Morgan Stromer won one match.
Starting the day off, the Mustangs met the Blue Hill Bobcats in a match that saw Levi and Corey each answer two toss-ups with the team answering all the bonus to finish with a 60 to 5 win against Blue Hill.
In the next match of the day, Kenesaw defeated Blue Hill 65 to 35.
In the second match for Silver Lake, the Mustangs lost to Kenesaw by the score of 20 to 70. Levi again answered two toss-up questions with the team answering one bonus
Silver Lake then played Blue Hill again in the round robin with a 70 to 0 outcome with the Bobcats defeating the Mustangs.
Blue Hill then defeated Kenesaw in the 5th round of the day by the score of 60 to 50.
The final match of the day was a close one as Silver Lake led Kenesaw all the way until the 12th and final question, where the Blue Devils won 50 to 45. Levi answered 3 toss-up questions with the team answering 3 bonus questions.
