Meyer Honored During Silver Lake Halftime

Derek Meyer was honored on Friday, January 22nd, 2010, at the halftime of the Silver Lake versus Red Cloud basketball game for being the only Division I athlete (to this point in time) to have graduated from Silver Lake Public Schools.  Many distinguished athletes and scholars have left  Silver Lake to grace many different college athletic teams and campuses; but Derek was the first to reach the highest college level of Division I in his sport.  Congratulations, Derek!
