Lady Mustangs Pick Up First Win of the Season
Mustangs Beat Warriors

Tuesday, September 13th, the Lady Mustangs traveled to Red Cloud with high expectations to battle the Warriors on their home court.
After witnessing JV take home the win, intensity built and the Mustangs were determined to beat the Warriors in the Varsity match.
Winning their first set of the season, and the first set of the match 25 to 21, the Mustangs were ready to dominate the rest of the game. The second set didn't go the Mustangs way with a 27 to 25, which left them more determined than ever to finish out the game in four sets. The third set was underway and the Mustangs pulled off a 25 to 17 win sending both teams into what would be the fourth and hopefully last set. The set finished with Red Cloud winning 26 to 24. The game deciding fifth set was then decided with the Mustangs receiving, after a little slower start the Mustangs came out with a determination and an intensity the drove the Mustangs to a 16 to 14 win.
The Mustangs beat the Warriors in what was a thrilling five sets, Freshman Josie Parr had this to say about the game, "It was great to finally get out first win, we still have room for improvement though and still have to keep working hard."
