The Silver Lake High School and Junior High Choir groups and their director, Mrs. Janice Dart, headed to Campbell, Nebraska, on Thursday, October 13th to perform their annual Fall Concert.
The night began with the high school group singing Take Me To Higher Ground by Carl Strommen and Fields of Gold by G.M Summer, arranged by Roger Emerson.
After the high school choir group was done, the junior high took over and sang selections arranged by Teresa Jennings. Their part of the production began with Jennings' It's Our Time, followed by An Autumn-ish Feeling, It's A Small World (arranged by Linda Spevacek), and finally, Jennings' We Believe In Music.
Following the junior high group, the high school choir wrapped up the night's performance by singing We're The Men by Jay Althouse, James Bond Theme by Monty Norman, and Promised Land by Natalie Sleeth.
Choir Director Janice Dart had this to say about the groups' performances, "I was very pleased with the kids' performances. The audience seemed to enjoy the kids' singing, and we appreciate the generosity of the Campbell Camber of Commerce for providing us with cookies and punch after the concert."
If you missed this event, make sure to mark your calendars for the group's next performance on December 8th in Bladen at 7 PM. Great job, Silver Lake singers!
