Two Wins To End Regular Season At Nearly .500

Lady Mustangs End Regular Season 12-13

On Tuesday, October 25th, 2011, Silver Lake's Lady Mustangs went to Harvard for a triangular - their last regular season games of the year. The Mustangs founds themselves up against Heartland Lutheran and Harvard. 

Both the varsity and JV games were played at 6:30 PM against Heartland Lutheran.  The JV couldn't pull off the win; however, the varsity handled Heartland Lutheran easily 25-17 in the first set, and 25-16 in the second.

The team's next victim was Harvard.  Both JV and varsity pulled off the wins in their last regular season games.  The scores of the varsity match-up were 25-10 and 25-14. 

With two wins added to their record, the team ended the regular season at nearly .500 --- with a 12-13 record.  

Junior setter Sydney Meyer stated, “We started off a little rough, but then we finally became a team that started to talk and work together as one.” 

The team will enter D2-8 sub-district play on Monday, October 31st, 2011, when they will take on Giltner at St. Cecilia High School in Hastings, Nebraska.

Wear your Halloween costume and be ready to cheer on the Mustangs!
