Reading For Pizza, Bowling, and Ice Cream

Adrian Crumm

February 01, 2017

On Friday, January 20th the Silver Lake fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students who made their AR goals for the second quarter were eligible to go to the Accelerated Reader party where they went out for lunch, then bowling, and lastly out for ice cream. The elementary had thirty-eight students that qualified to go and thirty-six attend. First, they had pizza for lunch before going bowling at the Auto Way Bowling Alley in Minden. They spent time at the bowling alley and bowled a couple games. They finished the day with ice cream from Runza. The Silver Lake POSSE organization generously donated money to help pay and RS Agland Insurance Randy and Becky Sorensen paid for the kids’ ice cream. Jacob Borgman says “It was fun. I really enjoyed bowling and hanging out with my friends.” Congratulations to all the students who met their goal and attended the fun filled day!
