On December 12th, the Mustangs traveled to Gibbon to face off against the Buffalos. The girls had a tough loss with a final score of 24-55. Abbie Skupa led the team with 8 points and was followed by Makayla Dinkler with 6 points. Elizabeth Trausch and Madison Miller each had 4 points, and Seirra Watts- Hofstetter added 2. Trausch and Dinkler both pulled down an impressive number of rebounds with 14 and 13 respectively. Skupa had 7 steals on the defensive side.

The Mustang men also came out with a loss, an ending score of 50-74. Alex Ehrman led the team with 20 points followed by Reid Parr with 16, Mark Thurston added 10, and Johnny Borgman added 4 points. Borgman lead the team with 5 rebounds. Ehrman added 4 rebounds for the Mustangs, Parr and Thurston both pulled down 3, and Casey Cassel also caught 2 rebounds. Alex Ehrman said “It was a fast paced game, we handled pressure well and we kept fighting and never gave up.”

Later that week on December 15 the Mustangs went to Kenesaw to play against the Blue Devils. The girls lost 30-56. Kerigan Karr led the team with 8 points with Dinkler right behind her with 7 points. Miller also scored 5 points Trausch had 4 points along with Skupa, and Quinn Kilmer also put 2 up on the board. Trausch also had 9 rebounds followed by Dinkler with 7 and Kilmer and Trausch with 5. Miller got 3 boards followed by Karr with 1.

The boys also fell behind with the final score being 32-73. Reid Parr had the highest amount of points scored with 10 followed by Ehrman with 9. Mark Thurston also got 6 points. Thurston led the team in rebounds with 4, Cassel also grabbed a few boards, Borgman, Ehrman, and Parr followed behind with 2.
