JH Track Take Home Ribbons at Franklin

The Silver Lake Junior High Track team traveled to Franklin on Tuesday, April 18 to compete in the Franklin Invitational. It was a fairly successful day with many athletes receiving ribbons and setting personal bests. Mustang Track Competes At Shelton

Silver Lake’s track team traveled to Shelton to compete in their annual track meet on Thursday, April 13. Junior Mark Thurston placed third in Discus, while also receiving fourth in Long Jump. Senior Corey Conway placed in two events, coming in at fourth in the 1600 M run and fifth in the 800 meter dash. SL Golf kicks off season in Red Cloud

On Thursday, April 13th, the Silver Lake golf team consisting of Reid Parr and A.J. Niemeyer, accompanied by coaches Terry Bauer and Keith Crowe traveled to Red Cloud for their first meet of the season.   Reid Parr shot a 101 on the day while A.J. Thurston Visits the Capitol

On Tuesday April 11th the Attorney General Youth Conference took place in Lincoln, Nebraska. Mark Thurston, accompanied by Mr. Maulsby, attended this event. The students who attended the conference had to  apply to attend to this event. State FFA Convention

Nebraska FFA members, advisors, and guests went to Lincoln to the Pinnacle Bank Arena on April 5-7 for State FFA Convention. The FFA State Officers gave their retiring address, the next year’s officers were appointed, and some students and teachers received awards. Changing the world, One leader at a time

On Thursday, April 6th, FBLA Adviser Krista Ruxton and Sponsor Taylor Maulsby took 15 FBLA members to Omaha for the State Leadership Conference. The conference began on Thursday and went through Saturday, April 8th. Mustangs Place High At Franklin

On Tuesday, April 4th the Mustangs traveled to Franklin High School. Makayla Dinkler, Skyler Erickson, Corey Conway, Zane Journey, Alex Ehrman, and Mark Thurston all placed for the Mustangs. Dancing In The Rain

Juniors and Senior at Silver Lake high school had a fun-filled night of dancing, glam, and fun, as the Juniors hosted the 2017 prom, “Dancing In The Rain.” This night was kicked off with the prom parade filled with sweet rides and glamourous dresses.
