Philosophy of Education |
I am on the Board of Education to represent the business person's side of view for our school district. My goal for the school district is to bring our option enrollment to positive numbers. Highlights of my Board of Education experience include having stayed within our lid budget with little or no state aid while keeping a strong academic curriculum. We are also keeping pace with changing technology through the one-to-one laptop computer project. |

Personal Information |
My wife Cindy and I have been married for over 27 years and have lived and worked in Bladen since our marriage. Cindy is a 1978 graduate of Bladen High School and a 1982 graduate of Kearney State College in the field of education. We have two daughters who graduated from Silver Lake. Jennifer graduated in 2002 and then graduated from Central Community College with an associate's degree in accounting. She lives in Hastings, NE. Ashley is a 2005 SLPS graduate and is currently attending McNally/Smith College of Music in St Paul, MN, pursuing a Music Business degree. My hobbies include watching sports, especially when they involve Silver Lake kids, the University of Nebraska, the Kansas City Royals, the Minnesota Vikings, and Nascar/Dale Earnhardt, Jr. I also enjoy hunting when I get the chance. I like all food and enjoy action movies. |
