6th Grade Bottle Rockets
Studying Newton's Laws of Motion
September 17, 2008
Tuesday the 6th grade students shot bottle rockets off learning about Newtons 1st and 3rd laws of motion. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction displayed when the air and water escape the end of the bottle the rocket flies forward. An object in motion will remain in motion until an outside force acts on it with the rocket flying until gravity and friction slow it down. The winners of the most creative rockets were 1st place Blake Meyer, 2nd place Josie Parr, and 3rd place Kailey Conway. The winners with distance their rocket flew were 1st place Journey Ericsson, 2nd place Seyler Monroe, and 3rd place Ronald Neimoth.
