Philosophy of Education |
The first twenty years of my teaching career, I taught in a Class 1 school. I taught multi-grades from kindergarten through fourth grade. The last five years, I have been teaching in the Silver Lake Elementary Schools. I taught four years at Holstein (K-3) and one at Bladen (5th Grade). I entered the education profession because I enjoy working with children. In the past 25 years, I have enjoyed watching the students I teach become excited about learning and school. It has been rewarding to see them growing up and becoming productive members of society. It is a privilege to be a part of the Silver Lake Elementary School System where I have the opportunity to teach the most important thing in our school system, the students. |

Personal Information |
My husband and I have three children: two daughters in college and a son in high school. We stay busy keeping up with our three children in and out of the state of Nebraska and love every minute of it. In my free time, I enjoy working in the yard, gardening and collecting ruby red dishes. I like to watch a good comedy when I go to the movies or watch TV. I like listening to all types of music. My favorite food is any kind of Mexican food. |
