Philosophy of Education |
I guess being a teacher came pretty natural to me. My mother was a classroom teacher and retired from teaching after 35 years. I also have several other aunts, uncles, and cousins who have chosen teaching as a profession, so I guess it was kind of a family thing. I don’t remember ever wanting to do anything BUT teach. I have always loved kids and it is so satisfying to see a child learn and grow. Being in the teaching profession enables me to have that experience on a daily basis. There is nothing that I enjoy more than seeing a child succeed! |

Personal Information |
I have three daughters. Sara and Rachel are both in college. Rebecca is a junior in high school. It seems like I spend the majority of my time following my children and supporting them in the activities in which they are involved. When I do have some time to myself, I enjoy sewing. I also enjoy walking. My favorite movies are old ones, particularly westerns. I enjoy cooking, if I could just get someone else to clean up the mess! I like a lot of different kinds of music from country to classical. At the present time, I don’t have any pets, but I do like cats and dogs. I like to travel and see new things, but don’t get the opportunity to do so as often as I would like. |
