Philosophy of Education |
Teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. I learn a lot from the students I teach, more than I ever thought I would. Teaching involves more than just teaching your curriculum area. It’s about instilling a love for learning, teaching respect and responsibility, and giving the students the tools needed to believe in themselves, think for themselves and make good decisions.
I entered the education profession because I wanted to make a positive difference in the lives of young people. I had some great teachers when I was in high school, ones that highly influenced my decision to go into the education field. I hope my classroom is an atmosphere where trust, respect and caring all exist. |

Personal Information |
I am married to Jason who is a science teacher, football coach, and track coach. I have two sisters and one brother. In our spare time, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our two young children, and our own families, as well as watching and participating in sporting events, and shopping. My favorite movies are: 8Seconds, Hitch, and Sweet Home Alabama. My favorite meal is chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes. |
