Going the Distance

Cierra Mankhey

October 10, 2018

“I think the boys have improved on being mentally tough,” said Coach Baker.  Although Camp Kateri Tekakwitha may have been a rough course the boys sure didn’t show it and they stayed strong throughout the whole 3.1 miles. Luke Swanson and Lane Parr traveled to McCool Junction on Thursday, October 4 to take on six other teams: Blue Hill-Red Cloud, Deshler, East Butler, Shelton, and McCool Junction.  Both Parr and Swanson beat their previous times with times of 20:41 for Parr and Swanson with a time of 22:31. When Parr was asked how the meet went he said, “I think the meet went spectacularly because both of us got PR’s and the weather was nice and cool.” Go see the cross country team at districts in Thayer Central Thursday, October 11.
