We've Got Rhythm

Natalia Cassell

December 18, 2018

On Thursday, December 13, the Junior High choir, the High School choir, and Band all came together and performed for their parents, grandparents, and the Silver Lake community. To start, the High School sang “Sound of Silence,” “All I Want for Christmas,” and “Too Good at Goodbyes.” Next, the Junior High sang “Count On Me,” “Rockin Gold,” and “It’s Snowing,” a compilation of various Christmas songs. After all the singing, the band started off with the song “Air for Band” and ended with “Ancient Voices.” There were two people that had solos in the High School concert, Shaylen Beaty singing the beginning of “All I Want for Christmas” and Johnny Borgman singing the beginning of “Too Good at Goodbyes.” Senior Johnny stated, “I think that my solo went pretty well for it being my first time doing something by myself and I think the concert went well overall.” Shaylen also commented on her solo, “My solo went really good I was able to hold my nerve the concert overall I thought was good and everybody did good.” In all, thank you to Mr. Morrison and all of the students for your hard work and to all of the parents for coming and supporting them.
