bal de promo!

April 17, 2019

A night of glitz and glam took place at the high school on Friday, April 11, for the 2019 “A Midnight In Paris” prom. After hair and makeup appointments, putting on dresses and tuxedos, and meeting up with dates, each class, and their dates gathered to mingle and take pictures. After taking pictures, they then drove around town in their spiffed-up cars before the drive up of the promenade. Some of the cars included a Hummer limousine, an old fashioned Mustang, a newer Mustang, multiple trucks, and many more.

After driving up in their nice rides, the students made their way to the stage where they lined up for the promenade. Each prom attendant and their date was announced while they finally made their way to where the dinner and dance would take place. They walked into a beautiful display that the Junior class and their parents and sponsors Kate Baker and Morgan Henkel planned and decorated for many many hours. Their hard work paid off when the attendees were served their meal and then danced their night away!!

When the dance sadly came to an end, those attending post prom changed out of their dresses and tuxedos into more appropriate attire for jumping the rest of their time at prom away. Post Prom attendees made their way to Grand Island to Spring City where they spent three hours jumping, rock wall climbing, and obstacle course solving. “We had so much fun getting our 2nd wind energy out. Spring City is always a fun time and it was even better being able to experience with some of my closest friends,” states Senior Taran Hanson. Being worn out and tired, the hour bus ride home was a perfect time for some to get some rest in. They then made their way home and jumped into their beds after a tiring but memorable night. Prom 2019 was a success and would not have been able to be without our generous supporters and sponsors. Thank you to all who helped make this night one to remember!
