Track & Field Triple Threat

To start off the competition at the Lawrence-Nelson Invite at Sandy Creek on May 2, Makayla Dinkler placed 1st place for girls high jump with a jump of 4’10”. For girls long jump Katelyn Karr had placed 4th with a jump of 13’ 3” and Dinkler helped her team out tremendously by placing 1st with a jump of 15’ 11.5”. To finish off girls’ field events, Amanda Ehrman placed 5th in girls triple jump with a jump of 28’ 4.5”. Moving on for girls running events, Dinkler ran the 200-meter dash, earning 1st place with a time of 27.5 seconds. In the 800 meter dash, Madison Miller placed 6th with a time of 2:45. Kerigan Karr placed 3rd in the 1600 meter run with a time of 6:33. Miller placed 2nd in the 3200-meter run with a time of 13:55. To end the day, the 1600 meter relay, consisting of Katelyn Karr, Ehrman, Emmy Freitag, and Kerigan Karr, took 5th place with a time of 5:09.  

For the boys, Alex Ehrman placed 4th in the long jump, jumping 17’ 11”. Ehrman also placed 4th in boys triple jump with a jump of 38’ 2”. Zane Journey placed 6th in boys discus, throwing 115’ 1”. To start the running events for the boys, the 3200-meter relay, consisting of Matthew Hansen, Lane Parr, Max Hammer, and Taran Hanson, placed 5th with a time of 10:14. Ehrman placed 5th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 12.48 seconds. On deck, Parr had placed 4th in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11.36. Helping his team out immensely, Luke Swanson placed 2nd in the 110 meter high hurdles with a time of 19.4 and 4th in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.7 seconds. To finish off the day, the boys showed up strong in the relays. The 400-meter relay, consisting of Ehrman, Swanson, Journey, and Johnny Borgman, placed 6th with a time of 49.6 seconds.  Following, was the 1600-meter relay with Hansen, Hammer, Oakley Rosno, and Borgman also earning 6th place with a time of 4:31.
